HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems play a critical role in ensuring comfortable indoor environments, and the ductwork that distributes air throughout a building is an important component of these systems. Damper: A damper is a device that is used to control the flow of air through a duct. Dampers can be manually or automatically controlled and are often used to balance airflow throughout a building.

Plenum: A plenum is a space that is used to distribute air to multiple ducts. Plenums are often located at the beginning or end of a duct run and can be used to regulate airflow.

CFM: CFM stands for cubic feet per minute and is a measure of the amount of air that is moved through a duct in one minute. CFM is an important factor in determining the size of ductwork needed for a particular application.

Velocity: Velocity is the speed at which air is moving through a duct. Velocity is an important factor in determining the size of ductwork needed for a particular application and can impact the efficiency of the HVAC system.

Static Pressure: Static pressure is the pressure that is exerted on the walls of a duct as air flows through it. Static pressure is an important factor in determining the efficiency of an HVAC system and can be measured using a manometer.

Insulation: Insulation is a material that is used to reduce heat loss or gain in ductwork. Insulation can be made from a variety of materials, including fiberglass, foam, and foil.

HVAC Load: HVAC load refers to the amount of heating or cooling that is required to maintain a comfortable indoor environment. HVAC load is affected by a variety of factors, including the size of the building, the number of occupants, and the climate.
